MJ (@mjinnyc) is an adventurer and photographer who is inspired by the challenge and the pursuit of mystery. He explores the world in a way that is unfathomable to most: by scaling its tallest buildings and venturing into abandoned spaces and tunnels; capturing the stunning beauty of the world’s most famous cities from unique angles and viewpoints.
Through exploring, MJ found another perspective on urban life, discovering that there’s much more to a city than meets the eye. Enticed by the thrill of searching for places people have long forgotten or aren’t aware exist, arrival to the destination is the immediate reward. He is only a temporary visitor to these places, but what remains are his memories of the exploration and the images on his SD card. The images MJ takes do not show any clues of his journey there, much like the spaces visited don’t allude to when the last visitor entered. Instead, his flawless images aim to show the beauty of places that are often overlooked, whilst leaving the viewer to imagine what he may have encountered along the adventure.
Midnight City Crawl is your invitation to delve into the late night hours spent chasing the world’s highest urban peaks and exploring spaces lost in time.
The evening will also include a raffle draw for various prints & a short-film by MJ.
